  1. Hi everyone! I listened to my AC/DC CD for the first time this week. While I was listening I noticed that there is a lot of repeated lyrics, so they must not be into songwriting that much. The instrumental though is amazing, especially the guitar playing. It reminds me of Guns and Roses, but I think AC/DC gets wilder. Hows your music?

  5. I did some research on AC/DC and they were founded by Angus and Malcolm Young in Sydney, Australia. AC/DC's most popular album is Back in Black (1980). They wereranked fourth on VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" and the seventh "Greatest Heavy Metal Band Of All Time" by MTV. In 2004, the band was ranked number 72 in the Rolling Stone list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

  8. Hi Colin, I'm glad you're enjoying the guitar in your music. Since you play guitar, you can appreciate how difficult it is to play what they're playing, right? Do both Angus & Malcolm play the guitar, or just one of them? Who else is in AC/DC? What song do you like best so far?

  9. To answer your first question Hannah, I do appreciate how difficult it is to play what they're playing, but I do play one of their songs which is T.N.T and it isn't that hard. To answer your second question, Angus and Malcolm both play guitar, but Angus plays Lead and Malcolm plays Rhythm. The other current members are Brian Johnson (Vocals), Cliff Williams (Bass), and Phil Rudd (Drums). My favorite song just used to be T.N.T, but now it's T.N.T and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap!

  10. The instruments in T.N.T are Vocals, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass, and Drums. The lyrics are:

(Oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi, oi)

See me ride out of the sunset
    On your color TV screen
Out for all that I can get
If you know what I mean
Women to the left of me
    And women to the right
    Ain't got no gun
    Ain't got no knife
    Don't you start no fight

    'Cause I'm T.N.T., I'm dynamite
(T.N.T.) and I'll win the fight
    (T.N.T.) I'm a power load
    (T.N.T.) watch me explode

I'm dirty, mean and mighty unclean
    I'm a wanted man
    Public enemy number one
    Understand
    So lock up your daughter
    Lock up your wife
    Lock up your back door
    And run for your life
The man is back in town
So don't you mess me 'round

    'Cause I'm T.N.T. I'm dynamite
(T.N.T.) and I'll win the fight
    (T.N.T.) I'm a power load
    (T.N.T.) watch me explode

    T.N.T., (oi, oi, oi)
    T.N.T., (oi, oi, oi)
    T.N.T., (oi, oi, oi)
    T.N.T., (oi, oi, oi)
T.N.T., (oi, oi, oi), I'm dynamite
(T.N.T., oi, oi, oi), and I'll win the fight,
(T.N.T., oi, oi, oi), I'm a power load
    (T.N.T.), watch me explode!

I Like this piece so much because it has a good beat and it makes me feel very energetic and sometimes happy.

First I just want to tell you that I've gotten to see ACDC in concert at the Boston Garden. My favorite song is Hells Bells and I think the guitar player in the band is sick

  22. Do you prefer the live recording or "Back in Black"?

    ReplyDelete
  23. To answer your question Hannah I like the live recording better than "Back in Black".

Speaking of live recordings, last night I went over to a friends house and watched some videos of U2 concerts from the 80's. I liked it so much that I think I might do it for my stretch project next year!:)

  24. Colin has your impression on your music changed over the corse of the semester????

  25. have you shared your music with any one colin

    ReplyDelete
  26. First Emily my opinion has kinda changed since the beginning, but at the beginning I liked it now I really like it. Second I shared my music with my mom in the car, she said that she liked dancing to an AC/DC cover band in college. She said she still likes the music now, but the lyrics a kinda silly.

  29. Grace, I've listened to it to many times!! And since mostly everybody knows that I went to London. While I was there I let my two and a half year old cousin listen to AC/DC and then I asked him "do you like AC/DC" and he replied "I like AC/DC" in the cutest little voice. And then everybody laughed. So I think that concludes my blogging for this year.
